I was born in Gallarate, Italy on May 18, 1988 and began playing the piano in 1999 at age 11. I participated in several classical and jazz music masterclasses with: Gloria Campaner, Irene Veneziano, Dave Liebman, Joe Chambers, Ron Carter, Logan Richardson, Neil Angilley, Luciano Biondini, Greg Cohen, Paolo Fresu,Tullio de Piscopo, Horarcio Hernandez, Marcus Miller, Chucho Valdès, Naima Acuña, Marcus Gilmore, Ben Wendel, Kenny Werner, Gerard Clayton, Matt Mitchell, Yonathan Avishai, Stefano Battaglia, and Siena Jazz Summer Workshop playing with Claudio Fasoli, Drew Gress, and Lage Lund

Experience

• 2002

Began playing his piano repertoire in various theaters, restaurants, hotels and open air concerts within the Lombardy region of Italy.

• 2003

Won 1st place playing Aram Kachaturian-Toccata in E flat minor at the Stresa International Music Competition, score: 100/100.

• 2004

Won 1st place playing Chopin-Fantaisie Impromptu op. 66 at the Stresa International Music Competition, score: 95/100.


Selected from hundreds as one of the top 12 best young pianists (contestants ranged from age 12-19) in Lombardy, in the “MUSICA IN LUCE" competition.


Played Rachmaninov-Prelude in C sharp minor and Rimsky Korsakov-Flight of the Bumblebee, in the final concert at ‘’TEATRO DAL VERME’’ in Milan for the final performance.

• 2005

Began his musical composing journey and won 2nd place playing his first piece called “BRIGHT CLOUD” at the Stresa International Music Competition, score: 92/100.

• 2007

Won 1st place playing the Aram Khachaturian-Saber Dance at the Omegna music competition, score: 96/100.

• 2008

Developed an even deeper interest in the electronic music scene of the early years of the century which led him to start a non-profit project, creating the ‘’VOICE UNDERGROUND’’ label with the collaboration of two DJs / producers: Funder (aka Federico Ricchiuto) and DJ Fonta (aka Luca Fontana).

• 2011

Played a four-hand piano performance with the pianist Christian Salerno in a youtube video that got 10,000+ views: watch here


Invited to be a guest of Tianjin's Municipality in China on their National Day, which takes place every year at the beginning of October. Livio recalled back to the summer that he worked as an animator in Greece and wanted to repeat that experience in China, in Tianjin's Italian district, hosting a one-man show involving singing, dancing and playing piano: watch here

• 2012

Won 1st place at the National Selection of the Chinese Bridge Speech Competition and was invited to represent Italy on the world-renowned Chinese channel, Hunan TV.


Classified in the top 30 out of 120 competitors as a singer, dancer and pianist, and remained until the end of the television program:

• 2013

Performed as the grand finale with his progressive rock/metal band, EPHEDRINE, among the best 20 bands in Italy at the EMERGENZA ROCK FESTIVAL at ALCATRAZ Milano in Italy: watch here


Collaborated with the Phoniq Studio held by Simone Limosani with the following works:

• 2014

Moved to Beijing, China and deeply immersed himself into the Chinese music scene. Performed in prestigious and historical locations, such as the Italian Embassy and the Imperial Palace, as an artist hosted by Porsche during their 50th anniversary celebration of the Porsche 911 model: click here

The producer Foolvio joined Livio in Beijing and together they created an electronic music live band to perform around China called DANCING FREAKS: listen here


Performed in a duo with Japanese guitarist and songwriter OTO TACHIHIKO 音 立 日子 (aka UBI QUITOS)


Performed in a concert at the Cultural Institute of the Italian Embassy in Beijing where he completely improvised this piano solo: listen here

• 2015

Returned to Italy and began a new musical path through CIVICA JAZZ UNIVERSITY in Milan, where he met CLAUDIO FASOLI with whom he developed a lifetime friendship.


Took on a project called Afro Cuban Jazz Ensemble with Cuban musicians located in Milan, recording the following songs:

Seasonal job for 6 months at a time in 2015 and 2016 at the 5-star luxury hotel, THE VIEW, located in Lugano, Switzerland.

• 2016-2017

Made his debut as a percussionist, playing in an unique way, using glass percussion created by the designer JIN KURAMOTO for the Milan Design Week: click here

• 2018

Met Luca Pagan at Via Tucidide 56 in Milan, the talented musician-researcher who specializes in human-computer interaction and wearable technology, and collaborated with him to experiment body movement as a form of sound as well as applied electronics to the acoustic piano, creating the piano-laptop duo called T56.

• 2019
